My journey of learning languages
I am a native Hindi speaker with advanced English skills, and I am also proficient in French and Spanish.
From an early age, my fascination with languages ignited a deep curiosity that has never waned. I see language as a living entity, each with its unique melody, rhythm, and story.
Exploring the language’s endless features, I am amazed by the artistry and complexity in every sentence. It isn’t just about deciphering words; it’s about embracing the context they emerge from.
Learning different languages never really interested me until I started studying French at Alliance Française de Delhi.
I became passionate about learning new languages, a passion that has changed my life. During my first job, I even studied Spanish and achieved a higher level of proficiency.
Over time, I’ve studied a few different languages, like Japanese, German, Korean, and Italian. Even with a lot going on at work and with personal stuff, I still found time for my hobbies and interests. Ultimately, passion helps you persevere despite difficulties and time constraints.
I teach at two universities in India, conduct corporate training and French classes in Noida, offer Spanish lessons in Noida at LanguageNext, and provide counseling services in languages. I have extensive experience guiding, creating lesson plans, and teaching a range of subjects using diverse methods and educational approaches.

My experience with the Spanish language
Over ten years ago, I decided to learn Spanish after hearing a catchy Enrique Iglesias song.
As a result, I learned some Español!
Since then, I have been stuck with this mesmerizing language. I enrolled in various institutes and used books, podcasts, and audio and video lessons to fully immerse myself in Spanish.
That’s how I created the tagline for this site, “An incredible world of Spanish.”
My Blogging Experience
You may feel confused and overwhelmed when studying a language from scratch. Through blogging, I aim to share diverse learning methods and resources that suit you and make the process enjoyable.
My career in this field spans over 15 years.
In 2017 and 2018, I launched studyfrenchspanish.com and languagenext.com. The goal was to support and motivate people to learn various foreign languages!
I launched joyofkorean.com in 2021, then joyofchinese.com and joyofjapanese.com in 2022, joyofspanish.com and joyoffrench.com in 2023, and portuguese.in in 2025.
As the sole owner of the company, I am responsible for all aspects of my website since I have no profits, investments, or partners. While not a simple task, my professional language skills helped me support my sites and take them to the next level.
Due to traffic growth, diverse tasks, and rising technical complexity, I outsourced some responsibilities to skilled freelancers.
Achievement
When I started my blog, I had only a few hundred monthly visitors, but now, it has grown to over 3 million page views per month.
Many renowned educational institutions and popular websites like Cervantes.es, Duolingo, Alliance Francaise, News24, iTalki, Femina, University of Delhi, University of Illinois, LanguageIndia, Leeds Beckett University, UND (University of North Dakota), Eurekly, St. Joseph’s College, Sejong Korean Institute – Inko Centre, AC, Activate Learning, Times Bridge, Interactio, etc. have cited or suggested my writings.
Many organizations have requested my expertise in foreign languages through interviews, debates, and perspectives.
Reasons for “Joy of Spanish”
I learned most of what I know through research, writing, and answering countless questions on other blogs. I’ve received many requests from my readers to write about more Spanish-related topics.
Sometimes, more information was needed to fully answer specific questions. A few lines of answers weren’t enough and didn’t provide all the details. I can’t focus solely on Spanish-related content because the blogs aim to address all languages.
So, I found a rational way to decipher all these. The result of the “Joy of Spanish.”
